Yet another warehouse project has been successfully managed and implemented by Fortna. With their sought after expertise in Warehouse Management, Fortna and Pepkor worked together to ensure this new warehouse will be operating smoothly. This time it’s in Kwazulu Natal, Hammarsdale half way between Durban and Pietermaritzburg, just off the N3. With a total warehouse size of 25,000 sqm or 5 Rugby fields, this new warehouse will be used for John Craig, Refinery, ShoeCity and Dunns retailers to distribute all incoming products throughout South Africa.

The facilities were concluded in July 2018 although network strategy already started in January 2015. We started to capture the installation process with two longterm indoor timelapse systems at the end of 2017 and continued until the completion of thew project in July. By using two cameras we were able to capture much detail of the installation of the racking and shelves as well as the conveyor installation.
